What is ECSteps?

ECSteps is a programme that helps with the development of children from 3 to 6 years old.

ECSteps consists of all the 2D teaching material needed by parents, caregivers and educators.

All the 2D material – what does this mean?

All printable material needed by the adults for teaching and children for developing their skills!

Material that ECSteps provide:

1. A General Guide for ECSteps

With background information about the stages of development in children’s social, emotional and mental (cognitive) skills;
Information how to develop children’s Language, Maths and Life Orientation skills;
Information how to organise a successful school (learning environment).

2. A Daily planning schedule for each ECStep

That shows you exactly what to do daily in Language, Maths and Life Orientation for an eighteen weeks period (a semester/ two terms).

3. A Teaching Manual for each ECStep

With a list of the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes the learner will acquire in each lesson;
A list of the material you will use in each activity (mostly provided as ECSteps 2D resource sheets);
Instructions, activities and tips how to teach the new skill that the learners have to perform.

4. Resource Sheets that include

Stories, rhymes, songs, games, pictures, posters and work sheets. Every printable material that you need. EVERYTHING!
You do not have to prepare, scrounge, search for or make anything!!

5. Assessment Measurement Instruments

To determine on what level a kid is functioning.

Easy & Cost Effective!

ECSteps is neatly packaged on a Data CD so that you can print as many copies of all the material as and when you need it.
Make reprints of the material as many times as needed.
Pay only once and use the programme and materials for as many years as you wish.
You have 3 choices: English, Afrikaans or Bilingual (both English and Afrikaans). The photo on the right shows you how all the CD's look, but you will only receive one CD with all the material on it.
Everything is on the CD. Only one item: The CD, to keep book of! Load and store all the Learning Materials on the computer to look at. Quickly find what you need and just print what you need!

Learners will acquire knowledge and develop their skills according to the stages of their development so that they will be ready for formal schooling.
